How NRIs, expats can re-verify their Indian mobile numbers with and without Aadhaar from January 1
NEW DELHI: Aadhaar compliance is undoubtedly one of the most talked about issues today. A few months ago, the Government of India had directed telecom service providers (TSPs) to verify Aadhaar of all their subscribers, i.e., all those people owning a mobile connection. As per the original Department of Telecommunication’s (DoT) directive, the deadline has been set as February 6, 2018 for telecom companies to complete the re-verification process of all their subscribers. Mobile subscribers who do not re-verify their know-your-customer (KYC) details by verifying Aadhaar with their TSPs will have their mobile services disconnected.
